For the last week of school we made sure we finished ANYTHING that needed to be finished for all classes, and we put our portfolios together for all classes, thanks for reading my blog!!!!!

Week 7 of the fourth quarter!!!!
Language Arts: In language arts we passed in our author study posters, and we worked on our special place poster and some passed them in already. We also worked on anything that needs to be worked on.
Math: In math we had a test that we took, and we finished learning about surface area and volume for prisms. We are completely done with sunshine math and word problems for the year, YAY!
Social Studies: In social studies we finished our blog posts and recorded and some finished our podcast!
Science: In science we watched a video about fresh water, and finished our dissecting fish papers.
Their are only 5 1/2 days of school left!!!!!!

Week 6 of the fourth quarter!!
Language Arts: In language arts we made sure we finished our persuasive letter and started and some finished our author study posters. We also had to make sure we finish our 5 author study books.
Math: In math we did multiple work sheets on rectangular and triangular prisms. We also passed in our last sunshine math and word problem, YAY!
Social Studies: In social studies we have worked really hard on trying to finish ALL of the blog posts and finish our podcast about one of our blog post me made.
Science: In science we finished our study on gold fish and we actually dissected a white perch fish! It was exciting!
We only have 11 1/2 days of school left WOO! Also tech
day is coming up!

Week 5 of the fourth quarter!
Language Arts: In language arts we were supposed to finish and pass in the persuasive letters we wrote, and also read a play.

Week 3 Of The Fourth Quarter!!
Language Arts: In language arts we learned what a persuasive letter is, and how to respond to one.
Math: In math we passed in and got a new sunshine math ( due Tuesday May 12th) and passed in our word problem. We also did and finished the last prompt of the year.
Social Studies: In social studies we worked on amazing race and worked on our third blog post.
Science:In science we made sure we finished our science fair projects.
May 7th is science fair day! And May 8th is bully prevention day!!!

Week 2 Of The Fourth Quarter
Language Arts: In language arts we made sure our response to literatures were done and we started reading a book called English by Houghton Mifflin.
Math: math we started and finished 2.2 and finished and started 2.3. We also got a new sunshine math (Due Tuesday May 5th) and a new word problem (Due Thursday May 7th).
Social Studies: In social studies we got put into groups of four people ( each person from a different class) and made a google map on geography places like beaches, deltas and more.
Science: In science we did a worksheet about deciding which "persons" theory we agreed with. We also started presenting our science fair projects to the class.

Week 1 Of The Fourth Quarter!
Language Arts - In language arts we have started reading a story in the junior great books called the white circle. We have also done one discussion as a class for the story.
Math - In math we finished 1.1, 1.2,, and 1.3 of our new math books, filling and wrapping which we are doing geometry. We also have a new sunshine math and word problem. The sunshine math is due Tuesday April 14th, and the word problem is due Thursday April 16th.
Social Studies - In social studies we played a game of jeopardy based on geography. We also got in groups and found pictures and definitions for geography words.
Science - In science we continued to work on science fair. We made sure we had sent Mr. Welch our three main topics for science fair, and made sure we had our board topics. We also watched a video on caves.

Week 8 Of The Third Quarter!
Language Arts - In language arts we finished our reports and had to pass them in. We also finished our literature groups.
Math - In math we made sure we had finished 4.2, and had a test on what we have learned so far.
Social Studies - In social studies we are still working on sketch-up and are making sure we have all of our work and projects done.
Science - In science we have been working on the writing to go on our poster boards for our science fair projects, like our procedure, hypothesis, question, variables, materials, abstract, and our conclusion.
The third quarter ends Friday, make sure you have all work done!!!

Week 7 Of The Third Quarter!
Language Arts - In Language Arts anyone who has not passed in their research paper finished it and passed it in. We also started literature groups.
Social Studies - In social studies we answered the questions that we asked for the renaissance paintings. We also finished our blog posts for the medieval journals.
Science - In science we did some more research for our projects, and did a practice with communicating without being able to see what the person is telling you to do.
Math - In math we finished 4.2 and started 4.3. We also had to pass in our word problem Thursday March 26th.
Wednesday was a half day and Friday March 27th is Spring Picture day.
Social Studies - In social studies we answered the questions that we asked for the renaissance paintings. We also finished our blog posts for the medieval journals.

Week 5 Of The Third Quarter!
Language Arts- In language arts we started finishing up on our final drafts for our topics, and had students and teachers read it over to edit it.
Math- In math we worked and learned how to multiply, add, subtract, and divide negative and positive numbers and fractions. We also had a small test.
Science- In science we worked on our science fair projects, and started making our projects and getting information on them.
Social Studies- In social studies we posted our blog entry for this week, and we chose a picture and artist from the renaissance times and we are going to find eight historical pieces in the painting.

Week 3 Of The Third Quarter!
Language Arts- This week in language arts we started our report on the topic we chose, which is due Monday March 2nd. We also did a couple worksheets for MEA practices. The MEA's will be starting in a couple of weeks.
Math- In math we are still working on positive and negative numbers. We are going to be starting to graph positive and negative numbers next week. We have a sunshine math due Tuesday March 3rd, and a word problem due Thursday March 6th.
Science- In science we are learning about land forms and have done several work sheets about them. We also labeled a model of a land form on Wednesday February 25th, and watched a video on it.
Social Studies- In social studies we finished up on our medieval slide show. We have started working on posting a "medieval journal" in which we come up with a character and have it live in the middle ages, and post our "daily life" on our blogs.

Week 2 of the third quarter!
Language Arts- In language arts we finished up our 50 note cards of information for our report on the topic we chose, that were due by the end of the week (Thursday February 12).
Social Studies- In social studies we had to finish up on the eight slides for our Medieval times topic. The first four slides were due Friday February 6, and the other four were due on Thursday February 12.
Science- In science we did a worksheet on volcanoes and weather and some of the students talked to Mr. Welch about what we might want to for our science projects that we will have to start in a few weeks.
Math- In math we worked on work sheets about adding and subtracting negative and positive numbers. We also passed in our sunshine math on Tuesday, and we will have to pass in our word problems on Thursday March 5th.
On Thursday we had no classes because we had a read -a-thon in which we read all day for 50 minutes then took a ten minute break and continued doing that the whole day of Thursday February 12, and raised more than 500 dollars! We had no school Friday due to the fact that it is the beginning of our February vacation which was from February 13 to the 23rd and Monday the 23rd was a snow day. :]

Week 1 Of The Third Quater!
This is the second week of the third quarter after vacation and here is what we did!
Language Arts- In language arts we worked on researching for our projects in which we are choosing a topic from a list our teacher gave us and getting information about the topic. Once we have gathered all the information we need about our topic we will write a report on our topic.
Math- In math we are working on our new books, negative and positive numbers. We got a sunshine math due Tuesday February 10th and a word problem due Thursday February 26th after February vacation.
Social Studies- In social studies we have been working on our eight slides for our project about the middle ages in which we chose a topic about the middle ages like castles, knights, Kings and Queens and stuff like that. Last Friday February 6th four out of the eight slides for our project were due, and Thursday February 12th the other four slides from our slide show about the middle ages are due.

Last Week Of The Second Quater!
Friday 30, 2009 was the last day of the week of the second quarter! This is what we did the last week of the second quarter:
Language Arts- In language arts we worked on finishing up any projects we hadn't finished yet. Such as our memoirs, and other writing pieces. We also started on practice research for our next project, in which we will be choosing a topic about rather animals, the human body, diseases, and other subjects such as crime investigation, DNA, and more!
Social Studies- In Social Studies we worked also on finishing up any last minute projects like our vocabulary booklets, and our business proposal projects. Our business proposal was a website we created. We had to write a proposal about a business we wanted to "create", then post it on our blogs. We also started searching for a topic about the middle ages for the project we will be doing for the third quarter!
Science- In science we started working on researching rocks for the third quarter. We had to start learning how to identify three different kinds of rocks, Metamorphic, Igneous, and Sedimentary rocks.
